The Top of The Rockies Tour was designed for guests seeking the ultimate Vail Snowmobiling Adventure. As the flagship riding experience in the Vail and Beaver Creek area, this tour immerses you in views of the state’s tallest summits, including four distinct mountain ranges. Departing from the National Historic Site at Camp Hale, Top of the Rockies guests ride to elevations exceeding 12,500 feet atop Colorado's highest snowmobile trail network.
Offered as a Full Day or Half Day Snowmobile Tour, the Top of the Rockies Tour provides plenty of time on trail for guests who want to truly experience the backcountry of Vail, Avon and Beaver Creek, Colorado.
Full Day and Morning Half Day Tours include lunch – served in a spacious 5,000 square foot lodge featuring stunning views. Complimentary transportation is provided from the towns of Vail, Avon, Edwards and Beaver Creek. All tours include a professional guide as well as helmets. Snowmobile suits, boots and goggles are available for rent on-site on a first come, first served basis.

- Peak Season dates include: 11/20/23 – 11/26/23, 12/21/23 – 1/7/24, 1/12/24 –1/14/24, 2/12/24 2/19/24 and 3/1/24 – 3/31/24.
- Helmets are included in tour costs. We ask that guests bring their own winter clothing, boots, ski goggles or sunglasses, a hat and a pair of gloves or mittens. Suits, boots and goggles are available on-site on a first come, first served basis.
- Snowmobile drivers must be 16 years of age or older with a valid driver's license to operate their own machine. Drivers must be a minimum of 18 years of age to carry a passenger.
- Children riding as passengers must be age 9 or older on this tour.
- All guests must sign a liability waiver prior to tour departure.
- Snowmobile Tours have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
- A credit card imprint, serving as a damage deposit, is required on all Snowmobile Tours.
- For guests providing their own transportation to the snowmobile base camp, we strongly recommend having a 4x4 or all-wheel-drive vehicle, as winter road conditions in Colorado are constantly changing.
